In an effort to take up the sexual temperature of the population (in London at least), lifebyte visited several respectable retailers of all types of orgasm enhancers/facilitators/achievers.
From girth-mungus dildos to hardcore vids, people are getting down to what turns them on. We spoke to a variety of saucy retailers to gauge the state of the London libido and to see what particular products are enhancing and aiding the clientele's climax.
The all-embracing lifebyte team confidently strolled (rather than employing the 'fiddler's furtive dart' technique) into a variety of kink-conscious venues; starting with the Prowler. The Camden venue is much smaller than its Soho sibling, which is something of a gay cultural mecca, but both stock practically everything required to get a gay man off (with or without a partner!).

Lifebyte then scooted over to Prowler in Soho, to see how the two stores compare. Straight away it was apparent that Soho Prowler is more than a sex shop for gay men and a venue, nay, even a brand, that has legitimately made its mark on gay culture.
The open exterior does not mean that sex products are excluded, they're just not visible from the doorway. Star stock performers here include butt plugs and cock rings. Dildo varieties stretch from the most cock-like to novelty probers, shaped like certain phallic fruit or veg.
After Prowler's details were taken, lifebyte strolled the short distance to Harmony in Walker's Court. There's been a sex shop there for yonks and the current generation of straight-porn purveyors is taking active steps to dismiss the seedy stereotype and create a more relaxed atmosphere where woman don't feel threatened by dirty-mac'd individuals unable to control the urge to bash one off.
Topsellers amongst the sex toys at Harmony is the ubiquitous vibrator, in all its guises. This is also the case at Harmony's latest branch, on Charing Cross Road, which is a three-storey megastore of straight peccadillo provision. Being in a higher profile location has helped Harmony define the new image of sex shops: relaxed, informal and thoroughly helpful.
