| So that's gay men, straight
men and couples catered for. But what of female
sexuality and all its manifestations? Lifebyte
was happy to discover that there is at least
one shop dedicated to female sexual expression,
experimentation and discovery.
Sh! women's store on Coronet Street,
near Old Street, have been demythologising
the strap-on and laughing at the 'women don't/shouldn't
wank' taboo for the past eight years. |

Gay, straight, bisexual, single and married women all frequent Sh! (pronounced s-h-u-s-h) and this healthy mix creates an enlightened and enlightening atmosphere in which sexuality is a gorgeous dynamic, rather than a strange feeling that you don't know how you should react to.
The strap-ons and vibrators are topsellers here, with vids not sold (as Sh! isn't a sex shop so don't have the necessary licence) and mags taking a back seat. Although this might conjure up a myriad of lesbian sex images, married women purchase at least a third of all strap-ons shifted. Another assumption successfully exposed!
Men are welcome at Sh! and regularly appreciate the opportunity to discuss their own predilections in an unassuming environment. The only stipulation is that they're accompanied by a responsible woman. Surely one of those can't be too hard to find!
Chatting with the guys and gals who work at the horny havens lifebyte frequents, erm sorry, visited, is an excellent way to gauge attitudes towards sex and sexuality, as well as access to some very amusing stories about some of the more, er, excited members of the porno public.
