Jackie's Story
I'd had a busy day seeing people and was looking forward to meeting my blind date, hoping for some fun, relaxation and who knows, maybe romance? Dan had phoned me the day before and I could tell by his voice and quick answers that he had a sense of humour. At least if I didn't fancy him, I felt conversation would be good.

I'm a psychic clairvoyant and a little voice in my head said that this would not be a boring date! I'd decided that morning to dress sexy, glam but not over the top. If you want someone to fancy you, you don't oversell, as far as I'm concerned.

He was sitting at the Circus bar when I arrived. As I came over to him he seemed very nervous, but that didn't last long. Well, not more than ten minutes. He was dressed very casual but neat. You can't go wrong in a grey jumper and jeans, can you? He was built slighter and shorter than I expected. But he had a very cheeky face and nice smile.

We got on straight away and conversation flowed, as did the female photographer who kept taking our pictures. We had drinks and chatted for about an hour, casual talk, as the photographer was always there! Eventually we went to dinner, Dan had to walk with a stick as he had done something to his foot – so I helped him upstairs to the restaurant. (Maybe I should have worn a nurse's outfit made of black PVC!)

The photographer hovered around until the starter arrived, and as I am psychic I picked up a bit of flirting going on. I said nothing until she eventually went, and then we were able to relax (three people are no good on a blind date!) I asked Dan if he fancied her, he said that he could but that he found me very attractive in a different way.

As an older woman Dan's behaviour didn't really bother me, but I'm sure I wouldn't have liked it if I had been his age (24) and definitely not from someone my age. I decided then that he would definitely be good bastard material within five years, by then he would have it down to a fine art! [Chance would be a fine thing, eh Dan?]

The conversation was good; the restaurant noisy. He then went to the loo, when he came back I asked him, "Were you OK with the stairs?" Hethought I'd said "do you want to stay the night?" So he smiled and said "I'd love to". I looked at him and told him to repeat what he thought he had heard. He sat down deeply embarrassed. I laughed and said "don't even think about it".
