When
lifebyte user Steve came whingeing to us about the flat
roof on his new'y rented flat we zoomed straight over
there for a look.
Well,
we could see where he was coming from, it was a mess:
concrete, corrugated iron, metal pipes and railings
and an ugly gutter; not to mention all the rubbish and
tab ends lying about.
To get that urban roof garden
feel you're gonna need some greenery and some furniture so I got on the case finding
the right stuff. Click

for DIY garden furniture
and plants. As I'd just got back from my hols in Mexico I was under the influence
of that sultry colourful country (not to mention the tequila) so I decided to
use that as a theme.
One
of lifebyte's fave stylists, Emma Taylor was called
in to give us a hand and went around begging, stealing
and borrowing like a true Mexican bandito. (Alright
then, she did pay for a few things.)
She
made Steve muck in, as it was heavy work lugging
all that gear up four storeys. 'Get off your arse,'
she shouted as he sat gazing into space. Once
up top, there was furniture to assemble, tiles
to prime and paint, flowers to arrange, throws
to hang, shrines to create click
to DIY on all this stuff. Quite frankly we
were knackered and had to stop for sarnie and
fag breaks.
