Steve looked a lot younger than I expected, and he was quite shy – I'm usually more turned on by more confident guys – he was quiet but I liked it. I'm very loud myself, but I got a nice feeling from him, he was a really genuine honest guy, which makes a change, let's face it.

I must admit I wasn't crazy about his shoes, they were these Prada numbers – that were a bit too feminine and very last year. But we had a lot to talk about, anything and everything. He's well into his music and his mates and we talked about how London is so cliquey it's hard to meet people. He did a psychology degree so we also talked about peoples' personalities and how they get on in the workplace.

Unfortuately, the photographer put Steve off his food [delicate type] – he hardly ate anything but made up for it with the wine. He wasn't too keen on these Dutch guys who were trying to chat me up – he thought they were taking the piss. There was also a dodgy moment later when I was dancing in the bar and that guy came up and started chatting to me. He asked me for a snog and my phone number – I think Steve thought I was going to go off with him.

I didn't think I'd be bothered to see him again at first, but now I'm actually quite keen. We've agreed to go out again next week and I'm looking forward to it. It was me who offered him my email address and he said he'd have my number instead!

I had a kiss and a cuddle with him; to be honest, though, I liked his personality but looks-wise he's not really my cup of tea. He was really generous and keptbought me loads of drinks and a packet of ciggies [what a big spender – good thing, cos I'd run out of cash by then – Finula]
